Main Purpose:
The Youth Work Marketing lead will generate brand awareness of Blackburn & Darwen Youth Zones services. They will take ownership and oversight on day-to-day content creation (narrative, photos, infographics and videos) aligned to a more strategic approach. Promoting the Youth Zone to key local, regional and national audiences, maximising opportunities to raise our profile and increase our reach. Managing all platforms and channels will provide an opportunity to explore ways to increase brand awareness through an engaged community and measure impact. Ensuring all forms of communication are connected and aligned with core messages and brand values.

Main Purpose:
To deliver and develop a quality ‘Youth Safe’ programme within our open access Youth Club, which invites young people 8 to 21 years old to engage in a wide array of enriching activities and opportunities. You will respond effectively to any safeguarding and welfare concerns, taking immediate action to best safeguard and protect young people and complete all required records (accurately and timely) as specified in the clubs Safeguarding and Child Protection policy. You will be required to respond effectively to behaviour incidents within the club and deliver informal sessions which are a direct response to young people’s needs. You will be required to deliver intervention projects for vulnerable and ‘at risk’ young people.
The post will also have a responsibility to manage a caseload of children and young people who have been referred to BYZ from the Transforming Lives/Adolescent panel. Each case will require a programme of work developing and delivering to support their challenges and to work alongside the family and partner’s services to enable the child/yp to make better choices for themselves and engage more safely and constructively in mainstream provision as they progress to adulthood.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with young people, keeping each young person at the centre of their work, understanding levels of need and ways to provide and arrange effective interventions, an individual who can work independently and think creatively to shape their own delivery and ability to deliver evidence based programmes.

Main Purpose:
The Youth Club Team Leader role is a crucial role within our mission of making sure BYZ is “the Number One Service for young people”. You will be responsible for the coordination, leadership, planning and delivery of Blackburn Youth Zone Youth Club provision for young people aged 13 to 19 years (21 with a disability). Working positively, collaboratively and at pace with an enthusiastic and energetic youth work team, you will ensure our programme and offer for young people is of high quality, meets the needs of every young person in Blackburn with Darwen and ensures our offer reflects and exceeds on the wishes, needs and views of young people.
You will hold line management responsibility seeking to ensure that there is strong evidence of effective performance in line with our vision, mission, values and strategic objectives. Main Purpose:
The role will require you to session lead Blackburn Youth Zones Hub and spoke models, detached provision and targeted projects. You will design and lead a programme for young people which has many outputs, which may include, employability workshops, arts, sports, youth work and advice, music and other activity which is all delivered within a safe, inclusive and young person focused setting.
We are looking for an experienced youth worker who has experience with leading youth provision in various settings, which may include youth centres, community centres and/or detached provision and have strong evidence of safeguarding knowledge and practice. You will hold session management responsibility seeking to ensure that there is strong evidence of effective performance in line with our vision, mission, values and project objectives and outcomes. You will need to demonstrate effective organisational skills, the ability to network and lead a provision which is deadline specific and consistent KPIs to be reached (as determined by the funder), which may include, however not limited to, attendance, outcomes for young people, impact and case studies.

Main Purpose:
To provide a welcoming, friendly and efficient supporting role by assisting the Catering team
with the deliverance of healthy food for young people by serving the meals prepared to
those who attend Blackburn Youth Zone. To assist the Catering Manager with the food
serving and catering facility requirements in line with the Youth Zones Vision and Values on
providing outstanding customer satisfaction. To prepare and contribute to the assigned food
to the serving area and serve the young people meals, perform cashier duties, to clean and
maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen and serving areas whilst following and adhering to
Health & Safety and Food Safety & Hygiene Standards/HACCP/COSHH policies. To assist in
the setup and maintenance of all catering service areas at Blackburn Youth Zone.
