If so, we have an amazing opportunity! We are looking for a number of Play, Youth, Activity and Sports workers to deliver an exceptional Summer programme which will set out to engage over 1,000 young people weekly!
You will have a valuable input in the planning and delivery of our summer programme which is targeted at young people 8 to 12 years old and offers our members enriching activities across a number of areas, which may include:
- Activity workers
- Performing arts
- Youth Work
With a supporting team who are completely dedicated to young people, you will be expected to think creatively, ensure our service is relevant, fun, inclusive, safe, educational and that the wishes, needs and interests of our members are exceeded. Job Role: Junior Club Team Lead
Accountable to: Universal Team Manager
Location: Blackburn Youth Zone
Status: 37.5 hours per week over 5 working days.
Salary: Up to £28,500 (Dependent on experience, training and qualification)
To develop and manage the delivery of all play work activities for children and young people aged 5-12 years. You manage for Blackburn Youth Zones Minis Club , Junior Club, provisions and Holiday Club provisions. You will also be responsible for key services such as sports, performing arts, digital and arts.
You will hold line management responsibility and support a team of part-time staff and volunteers to deliver a well-rounded play provision which is diverse, developmental and works in line with KPIs associated with attendance and outcomes for young people. The role will require you to have previous experience with working with young people and strong evidence of excellent safeguarding knowledge and practice. You will be responsible in ensuring the organisation’s strategic pillars are achieved through excellent play and young people’s provision.

Job Role: Employability EHWB Keyworker
Accountable to: Employability Service Manager
Location: Blackburn Youth Zone
Status: 18.75 hours per week over 2.5 working days.
Salary: Up to £22,500 – £24,300 Pro rata
Our Employability division is expanding due to the procurement of a number of new contracts, funding streams and ESF funding. We therefore are looking to grow our frontline direct delivery team. You will take responsibility for the delivery of the Youth Zone’s Employability offer ensuring all vulnerable young people have access to exciting opportunities to develop the skills and knowledge to improve their prospect, scope for employability and supporting young people into sustained employment opportunities.. The post also involves the delivery of a targeted programme to support young people (16 to 25) not currently in education, employment or training into positive destinations.
