Youth Work Bus Driver (Outreach/Detached)
The Role:
Blackburn & Darwen Youth Zone is an iconic, state-of-the-art facility for young people in the heart of Blackburn, which opened in June 2012. We are looking for an experienced minibus driver to transport our young people between Youth Zone sites as well as take them out on trips. Additionally, this role will support our outreach and detached youth work by engaging with young people in their communities and promoting the services of the Youth Zone. If you are over 25 years old and have a clean driver’s licence, we would love to hear from you.

Design, Technology and Creative Team Lead
The Role:
Making, alongside sport, the arts and Youth Work is at the heart of B&DYZ’s offer to young people. The purpose built ‘Making Zone’ offers a wide range of technical and creative opportunities for young people including, 3D printing, electronics & programming, STEAM, moulding & casting and much more. Together with our partners The Making Rooms – an organisation dedicated to creative and technical training, you will help develop and deliver a diverse and exciting programme of activities aimed at young people aged 5 to 25 years, that stimulates, develops and meets the needs of young people from all backgrounds and abilities.

£27,000 (depending on experience and prorated for part time)
Youth Worker In Charge
The Role:
As a Youth Worker In Charge, you will take a lead role in the delivery of youth sessions across both sites, deputising for the Youth Team Lead when required.
You will be a confident and capable leader during sessions, ensuring high- quality, inclusive, and safe delivery by coordinating teams, managing safeguarding concerns, and driving engagement and participation.

£26,000–£32,000 pro rata
(dependent on experience)
Dance Youth Worker
The Role:
As a Dance Youth Worker, you will be expected to plan, lead, and deliver engaging dance sessions to both individuals and groups in a nurturing and caring environment, ensuring all young people are safe, included, and supported. Successful candidates will be passionate about dance and youth work, committed to putting young people first, and able to integrate youth development principles into their sessions.
