Head of Young Peoples Services

The Role:

The Head of Young Peoples Services is a critical, strategic and operational role within Blackburn and Darwen Youth Zone. As a supporting member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), you will work closely with the Director of Operations, CEO and the Director of Finance to ensure the charity delivers its vision and strategic objectives. This includes strategies for sustaining and overseeing the ongoing transformation of Blackburn and Darwen Youth Zones’ operational business plan and its operational processes and infrastructure.

Hours:

Permanent, Full-time, 37.5 hours per week over 5 working days

Salary:

£38,000 – £45,000 a year

Multi Sports Activity Worker

The Role:

As our Multi Sports Activity Worker you will work within the Sports Hall at Blackburn & Darwen Youth Zone, and develop and deliver an exciting and varied programme which will engage and be inclusive for all young people and which embrace our TRY, TRAIN, TEAM philosophy. You will support community cohesion and provide an environment where members from diverse demographics and those with disabilities and additional support needs feel safe.

Youth Worker

The Role:

As a Youth Worker you will be our first point of contact for all young people, provide positive activities, offer support and guidance through issue-based work and provide positive outcomes for young people through appropriate assessment and intervention.

Catering Assistant

The Role:

The Catering team at Blackburn Youth Zone plays a crucial role in creating a positive and engaging environment for young people within the community. The context of the role is centred around providing nutritious and appealing meals to the youth who access the facilities of the Blackburn Youth Zone. This position involves supporting the kitchen team with the preparation and serving of meals under the direction of the catering manager. As well as maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen and serving areas.
