Blackburn Youth Zone first ever corporate challenge launches today (Monday 2nd August 2021)! Fifteen businesses from across the borough will compete against each other and see who can raise the most money.

Every pound raised will go towards funding a dedicated Targeted Support worker. Helping local young people struggling with low level mental health get the best possible mental health support and have the resilience to overcome life’s difficulties.

The campaign has been sponsored by proud patrons of Blackburn Youth Zone ‘Trevor Dawson’ meaning each business has received £50, their job is to make use of that money and turn it into as possible.  ‘Paint the town orange’ is a great opportunity for businesses to focus their fundraising efforts in a way that motivates and challenges their team.  Packed with entrepreneurial spirit and creativity something we know our business support community has in admundance.

Mel Thomas Fundraising & Patron Comms Lead said:

“We know that 2020 was a difficult year for businesses, as it was for Blackburn Youth Zone too. We believe ‘Paint the town orange’ will be a great opportunity for all of us to come together and achieve something positive; supporting local young people to achieve more from life. It will hopefully be a great opportunity for the businesses involved to boost staff morale, especially if teams have been remote working due to COVID.”
