Blackburn Beer & Gin Festival opened with a bang as over 100 businesses attended the successful East Lancashire event on a Friday afternoon exclusive sponsor event. Individuals had the opportunity to network with the biggest businesses in East Lancashire whilst sampling the finest beers, gin, wine, and ales.

“The Blackburn Beer & Gin Festival is one of the most successful fundraising events in East Lancashire that raises vital funds for a local charity that is close to our hearts, and a joy to be part of every year,” said Malcolm Ireland Chairman of the Blackburn Beer & Gin Festival. “We haven’t had one for the past two years, so it was fantastic to see everybody back again.”

The three-day event showcased a lineup of 60 real ales sourced by Headline Sponsor Bowland Brewery; there was also lager and cider from some fantastic local brewers. Attendees also had the opportunity to try fine wine supplied by Whalley Wine Shop and a range of Gins sourced from Cuckoo Gin and Whitehall Distillery.

Action-packed rugby matches entertained the crowds throughout the weekend too, whilst live music featured some great local talent, including Furious Styles, The Switch and Paul Connor. 

Guest also had the opportunity to try delicious food from Clayton Park and La Bella Mozzarella, along with a sell-out of a popular cake artist, brownie bakers, and cake jar makers –  Finch Bakery.”

‘Local businesses power this event, and each year we are seeing the event grow. This event is Blackburn Youth Zone’s biggest fundraiser, and we really appreciate the Committee of business leaders Chaired by Malcolm Ireland dedicating 6 months of their time preparing the event with all profits being donated to Blackburn Youth Zone.’
