£30,000 raised through Christmas Campaign
Following Blackburn Youth Zones participation in the Big Give Christmas Campaign 2021, we are pleased to announce that we have exceeded our target of £30,000 to support the Blackburn Youth Zone ‘Caring For Our Young Carers’ project.
With the money we have raised, we will offer practical/emotional support to ensure that YAC’s in BwD enjoy and achieve more, narrowing the gap as a result of COVID and support YAC’s by levelling up opportunities, removing inequalities.We will be recruiting a specialist worker to run a targeted YAC offer: Mental/Emotional health and wellbeing support/workshops Opportunities for YAC’s to engage in positive activities with peers away from caring roles Educational support, bridging the learning gap, homework/employability workshops/groups
