Give What You Can, Take What You Need
The ongoing cost of living crisis is becoming the central issue facing many households across the country this year.
These issues are hitting the borough especially hard, as Blackburn with Darwen has a higher proportion of families struggling with low wages, poverty, and deprivation than in other parts of the country.
Over the coming months, Blackburn & Darwen Youth Zone will support the community by providing an adapted support package, including free entry to a warm building, free nutritious meals, family well-being sessions, free winter coats and support over the Christmas period.
The aptly named ‘Give and Take Campaign’ encourages people who can afford to give what they can however, there is no obligation, and take what they need.
Here’s how Blackburn & Darwen Youth Zone are supporting the community throughout the Cost of Living Crisis:

Blackburn & Darwen Youth Zone is working in partnership with local organisations across the borough, for more information on what our partners are delivering, please click this link.
‘The Give&Take Campaign’ we hope it will encourage people who can afford to give what they can and encourage people experiencing hardship to take what they need.
Will you join us in supporting our young people and their families to weather the storm?
