As part of the Zone’s new transition programme 20 young people took part in a residential at Hothersall Lodge Outdoor Education Centre in the Ribble Valley.
The transition programme aims to encourage junior members to interact with senior members prior to them moving up to senior club, taking away any fears they may have about moving on.
The group took part in bonding exercises such as canoeing, tree climbing, caving and zip wiring in a bid to develop relationships.
Dave Palmer, Junior Club Manager, said: “Some of the senior members stood out and were real role models juniors members on the residential. It was great to see new friendships being formed and I am sure that those junior members are now a lot more confident of moving up to seniors following on from the residential.”
