This week Blackburn Youth Zone hit the road to bring a taste of The Youth Zone to one of our Founder Patrons: Crown Paints. Informing and (we hope!) enthusing as many Crown Paints staff as possible – we wanted to give Crown Paints a glimpse of some the activities and a touch of the atmosphere we have, here at The Youth Zone.

Crown Paints Event – 13

Our Arts Coordinator, Ali Gadema, demonstrated his beatboxing skills – a glimpse of the sort of thing he will be doing with young people in The Youth Zone. Sports Coordinator Ishmail Issat, ran a ‘keepy-uppy’ competition whilst our Volunteer Manager answered questions about Blackburn Youth Zone’s exciting volunteering opportunities, encouraging Crown Paints staff to get involved.

Blackburn Youth Zone Development Manager, Julia Wright, was delighted to see so many people asking questions and wanting to know more about The Youth Zone, adding ‘it was a fantastic opportunity to bring the spirit of The Youth Zone to Crown Paints – and hopefully we will see a few of the faces we met at the event volunteering at The Youth Zone’.

Take a look at what we got up to…
