Blackburn Youth Zone launches trailblazing new fundraising football event – The Big Kick – to the press.

The Big Kick – 32

Blackburn Youth Zone has teamed up with Blackburn Rovers FC and Northcote to hold Blackburn’s event of the year. The Big Kick is a luxury football tournament to be held at Blackburn Rover’s iconic Ewood Park on 12th May. The Big Kick allows players the chance to experience the full professional footballing experience – buying into a fantastic ‘team pack’. Costs for the event will be covered by a number of key sponsors, and so all funds raised will go directly to The Youth Zone.

Blackburn Youth Zone launched the event to the press at a very special event at Blackburn Rovers grounds – the same grounds the event will eventually be hosted on, on 12th May.

With Sky Sports News, Soccer AM, The Lancashire Telegraph and more in attendance – it was the place to be for those interested in football.

The press were treated to a behind-the-scenes tour of Ewood Park – including a sneak peak of the players’ entrance, dressing rooms and areas not normally accessible to members of the public. A panel consisting of Blackburn Youth Zone Chief Executive Peter Little, Blackburn Rovers player and Youth Zone supporter David Dunn and Northcote Managing Director Craig Bancroft – spoke passionately about the event and what the money will go towards.

Finally, the press were given a selection of Northcote’s famous food – a taster of the sort of thing that will be served at The Big Kick’s evening celebration.
