Cyclists of all abilities are invited to join The French Alps Cycle Challenge 2017 in order to raise money for Blackburn Youth Zone and Rosemere Cancer Foundation. From 1st – 7th September 2017, 40 cyclists will cycle through 5 Cols of the Alps to Grenoble, then onward to the infamous Alpe d’Huez and after a further 7 Cols, reach the Giant of Provence Mont Ventoux, before the most stunning cycle through Gorges De La Nesque.
About the event
The 6 day cycle challenge will take place in September 2017 but cyclists are encouraged to sign up now in order to begin their tailored training programmes, provided by mentors from Team Chronomaster, a semi-professional Lancashire team of elite riders who are working on the mentoring program for the challengers with Mehdi, the Team GB coach working with Gold Medal and current World Track Champions, Laura Trott and Jason Kenny.
This event is being championed by Ste Pritchard, Managing Director of Matrix 247.
Prior to the event cyclists can expect to receive a comprehensive training programme; training using the Watt Bikes at The Velodrome, diet and exercise support, one-to-one position analysis, equipment advice and frequent team rides, in a bid to prepare them for climbing through The Alps and raise vital funds for charity.
Want to take part?
Cyclists of all abilities are invited to join the event at a cost of £1,250 to cover expenditures, such as flights, accommodation and food.
We ask all cyclists taking part to raise a minimum of £250 in sponsorship.
