The Youth Zone is to host a networking event with a difference on Thursday 18th July and is looking for local businesses to get involved.
The event, organised by the Hive under the umbrella of the Blackburn and Darwen local strategic partnership, will see at least 300 young people showcasing their talents and engaging with businesses in the Borough.
Local businesses are being encouraged to participate and meet young people with a view to offering them work experience placements, speak to them about what employers are looking for and see the amazing skills that they have to offer.
Speaking of the event, Leader of Blackburn with Darwen Council, Kate Hollern, said: “Our young people have a lot to give, some of the talent in the borough is truly astounding but they need a chance. They need employers to help them gain some work experience and learn about working in a real environment. Please sign up for the event and show your support for the next generation. They have a great deal that they can offer your businesses if they are just given a chance”.
