Christmas Jumper Day: By wearing a sweater you can make things better and support your local charity

Blackburn Youth Zone wants to bring the town together this Christmas to support local young people and their families.  Schools and Corporates get the chance to don their cheesiest Christmas Jumper on 20th December to raise money for Blackburn Youth Zone’s weekly ‘Eat Together’. ‘Eat Together’ runs at the Youth Zone every Saturday from 4:30pm – 5:30pm and provides hot meals for local families.

The Youth Zone have taken this initiative to help families in need and aim to raise funds to keep this session running not only throughout the Festive period but for the whole of 2018. 17,000 free lunches were given out over the summer in Blackburn and so the Youth Zone’s Eat Together is helping to tackle local food poverty as well as providing a vibrant and welcoming environment for the community to come together.

People can donate to this appeal throughout December by texting BYZA01£ followed by the amount they wish to donate between £1-£10 eg. BYZA01£5

£2 will pay for a hot meal
