Charity Auction helps raise over £27,000 for Blackburn Youth Zone

In May the Youth Zone held the very first Big Kick football tournament and part of the event involved a fundraising auction. One of our supporters,Thwaites, was keen to be involved to help raise funds. They offered the chance for one lucky bidder to brew their own beer at the Thwaites Brewery!

Malcolm Ireland from Napthens Solicitors in Blackburn placed the winning bid and brewed his own 4.6% APV beer, Exhibit A.

Malcolm said about the experience “The Blackburn Youth Zone does great work and I would like to thank Thwaites for making this such a successful event. Seeing our own ale brewed up close and personal was fantastic. We were guided every step of the way to make it a really tasty and drinkable brew that I hope will prove popular.”

The Big Kick raised £27,000, including several thousands of pounds from the auction, and we’d like to thank everyone involved for their help in raising this amount!
