Celebrating #ScienceWeek with UCLan

From mind control games to investigating life under a microscope, Blackburn Youth Zone and University Of Central Lancashire (UCLan) are set to deliver a range of innovate, interesting and interactive workshops in celebration of British Science Week. The workshops are open to young people aged 13-18 and will run at Blackburn Youth Zone on Thursday 16th March from 6.30pm till 8pm.

The special evening of workshops is part of British Science Week 2017 (10 – 19 March) – a nationwide celebration of the best of British science, technology, engineering and maths.

Activities throughout the evening include:

  • Plasma ball – make a human electrical circuit!
  • Microscopes – see what tiny life lurks inside ponds
  • Mind controlling games – control cars with your mind (and a headset)
  • Lego building – can you build the tallest egg holder to win a prize?

Entry is just 50p, no booking necessary.
