The tournament was BYZ girls football Team  first ever taste of competitive action. In total BYZ entered two teams providing as many girls the opportunity to participate and have fun!

Young people who took part commented:

“What a wicked day! I love our kits and playing football. I use to think football was only for boys but I have found out girls are actually better than boys!”

“I started playing football only a few weeks ago. The coaches has really helped me improve my confidence. I also made lots of friends and definately gonna keep coming to practice.”

Both BYZ teams were fantastic throughout the group stages and merely missed out on the semi-finals by a few points.
